Students who walk home are reminded that the gate closest to the field is NOT to be used to exit campus. All walkers must use the exit gate closest to the flagpole

BAND AND CHORUS

  • Attention all students! The T.H. Harris beginner band and the Harris show choir are looking for new members. See Mr. Villalobos in the Band Room to sign up for tryouts & to pick up a letter to have your parents fill out. Choir tryouts will be held starting on Monday. All students trying out for the choir will have to prepare 2 songs to sing.

SCHOOL CLUBS - CHESS AND YOUNG AUTHORS

The Harris Chess Club is looking for some new recruits, especially in 6th grade. You must be in either honors math or science, or you can get a recommendation from one of those teachers.  Our award-winning team boasts of three team national champions, and one world champion. Meetings are held after school Mon-Weds in Room #110, Mr. Shannon's room, from about 2:30-4:15; for those who are USCF registered, tournament play is every Friday after school.  
 
  • Students: if you love creative writing...stories, poems, books, etc., you may want to join the T.H. Harris Author’s Club.  See Ms. Federico in Room #228 for information about this club. New and former members must complete a new sign-up form.

FREE OR REDUCED LUNCH

The deadline to return Free/Reduced lunch applications is Sept. 20, 2012. The lunch status is the same as last year for now… forms not approved by the deadline mean that you will pay FULL PRICE!
